Indian Idol 12: Aditya Narayan On Why People Are Venting Out Their Anger On The Show; 'IPL Band Hogaya Uska Saara Gussa Humpe Nikal Rahe Hain'
The second wave of COVID-19 has once proved to be stressful for the citizens of India, as it resulted in lockdowns and curfews. The singing reality show Indian Idol 12 host Aditya Narayan stated that people are venting out their anger on the show due to the abrupt ending of Indian Premier League 2021. The show is currently criticized for an episode that was a tribute to the legendary singer, Kishore Kumar. As per reports in the media, singer’s son Amit Kumar who graced the show too was upset with it as he had to praise all the contestants, irrespective of their performance.

Unhappy with this comment of Amit Kumar, Aditya had said that he should have told the makers. As per his interview with Bollywood Spy, the host mentions now that youngsters can’t watch IPL as it was being suspended, and TV remotes went in parents’ hands they are frustrated and are venting out their anger. He says, “I think do-teen hafte pehle IPL band hogaya. Uska saara gussa humpe nikal rahe hain (IPL ended two three weeks back. They are venting out that frustration on us.) Mummy papas have taken over the remote and they are watching Indian Idol.”

He adds, “So our younger generation is unhappy. They don’t know where to vent their anger. Including myself, I feel this void too.” Aditya himself is upset with the IPL ending as he made cricket teams on the phone apps, he said, “As soon as it struck 7-7.30, I would get on it. I even made those cricket teams on phone apps. Over the last year and this year too, we are consuming anything that comes on TV a little too fervently. Only because we have too much time right now.”

The makers of Indian Idol 12 too have moved out of Maharashtra due to the lockdown and have been shooting in Daman.  ALSO READ: Indian Idol 12: Aditya Narayan On Amit Kumar’s Criticism Of Kishore Kumar Special Episode; ‘Not Easy To Honour The Legacy Of A Legend In An Hour Or Two’-EXCLUSIVE
